When Are The End Times?

Wondering “What is going on in the world right now?”

With new problems constantly surfacing, is the world literally going to end? Well, yes. Most people don’t realize this, but God has a huge plan for mankind, and it’s all outlined in the Bible  – including  what’s happening today.

The Bible outlines a 7,000-year plan:

  • For roughly 6,000 years God allows people to live under the destructive and painful influence of Satan.
  • These years will end in catastrophic events (often referred to as “the tribulation”)
  • Immediately following this will be Christ’s return to earth and His 1,000-year reign of peace over all nations (the Millennium).
  • Then The Kingdom of God will be established on earth where God Himself and Jesus Christ will live with mankind.

The times leading up to the tribulation are what we refer to as “the end times” which are also, frankly, not so great. But the end result (endless peace, truth, prosperity and love) is certainly well worth it.

So just when is this end happening, and how will we know if we’re close to the end?

Matthew 24:3  Now as He [Christ] sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

We’re not the first to ask these questions. Two thousand years ago, Christ’s disciples wanted to know, and He didn’t leave them without answers.

In this same chapter, Christ refers to war, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famine, pestilence, and natural disaster, all of which have been happening over the last 2,000 years since Christ explained it to His disciples as precursor to the end. So, what other evidence is there? Let’s look at the other indicators from the Bible that help us recognize the end times.

#1. A false Christ and gospel will be preached.

Matthew 24:4-5  “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”

For more than two millennia, just as Christ warned, most of traditional Christianity has proclaimed a false, incomplete gospel. That’s a bold statement which might be a hard truth to grasp, but most churches have been preaching their version of a gospel about Christ rather than the complete picture the Bible outlines. Some even falsely take the place of Christ Himself, claiming they have the power to forgive sins.

#2.  Knowledge will increase.

Daniel 12:4  “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

We’re in a time unlike any other in history. We have instant communication with nearly the whole world. Messages, photographs, videos can go from anywhere in the world to everywhere in the world in the blink of an eye. You can research any topic you’d like in an instant. The first part of Matthew 24:14 has never been easier to achieve

Knowledge has absolutely increased, but at the same time, humanity’s accomplishments come at a price. Even the most noble intentions and inventions have been corrupted.

#3 The true gospel will be preached in ALL the world.

Matthew 24:14  “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

There is the answer to our question: The gospel of the Kingdom of God being preached in all the world as a witness to all nations…that is the key to the end.

Too many have watered down the true Biblical gospel of Christ. So in short, here it is: God is building His family through Jesus Christ & His dying for our sins. So repent, be baptized, receive the Holy Spirit and change to live by God’s laws and ways to become part of His Family. Eventually, when time is up, Jesus Christ will return to this earth to overthrow Satan’s grip on this world. Then, Jesus Christ will rule with His people & establish The Kingdom of God.

Few people have heard the FULL truth regarding Jesus Christ’s return to this earth and His Millennial kingship which will finally bring about the change we desperately need. The full truth is so much better than the counterfeit: “you turn into an angel and go to heaven.

#4 The rampant sin and corruption will be revealed.

God promised peace and an end to suffering, but He isn’t going to intervene or allow Christ to establish His Kingdom on earth until humanity and its leaders admit their failures in providing these promises to man.

2 Timothy 3:1-4  “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God”

When that happens God will step in and send His son, Jesus Christ, to end suffering and finally establish lasting peace.

#5 The great tribulation and God’s intervention to save humanity.

Matthew 24:21-22  “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”

In His unconditional love, our Creator will cut short civilization before we destroy ourselves. Science, technology, engineering, and government have quickly become monsters capable of wiping out every living person from existence.

To say the Millennium will be ushered in on the heels of the most devastating time in human history is not an understatement. However, that is just the beginning. As cliche as it sounds, it will be the beginning of the true and ultimate fulfillment of “happily ever after.”

Daniel 2:44  “And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms [of mankind], and it [the Kingdom of God] shall stand forever.”
