Is Jesus Christ going to return? Have you ever heard that? Do you believe that? And if so, what's the point of that? If the plan is for the people to live their lives and then they're judged according to how well they did, and that is the process to determine where we go when we die, and that's been working for thousands of years, then why change anything?

If the system works, then what is the point of changing it? In most Christian churches, people tell us that when you die, you go somewhere else. So why is Jesus Christ coming back here? He's got His throne in heaven, sitting right beside God the Father, and supposedly everyone else who was good is up there with Them. Supposedly, they're sitting on clouds, playing harps all day looking down at the earth where all their family is having fun, enjoying life, do they just get tired of missing out and come back so they can be where everyone else is?

Or, maybe what if when we die, we don't go somewhere else?

What if we remain asleep, which is how God refers to death? What if we remain dead until we are woken up in an order determined by God, at a set time. The Bible actually gives the answers. Jesus Christ is coming back, but the purpose is to bring the Kingdom of God to the earth. That's been the plan from the very beginning. God designed a plan to expand His family. He created man with free will and gave them instructions to achieve happiness and peace. But, for generations, mankind has chosen their own way. Regardless of the consequences, that's what's happened. God allowed this so that we could see, over the course of human history, the results of our actions. Hopefully we can come to the conclusion that our way doesn't work and for thousands of years of human existence we have never achieved world peace: people suffering all over the planet, war, disease, no clean drinking water, starvation. I mean, those are the facts. We've never figured a way to help provide all the basic necessities of life for every man, woman, and child on the planet. That is unbelievable.

So, God will intervene. He won't allow us to suffer forever. Jesus Christ comes back, puts an end to the way of mankind. Finally, Satan is put away. The knowledge of God will blanket the earth. People will finally get to know the one true God.Next time you hear someone talk about the return of Jesus Christ, ask them about it! Next time you read a verse in your Bible talking about the return of Jesus Christ, dig deeper. Prove what you believe, put everything to the test, and let the Bible speak for itself. I don't know, just a thought.
