What would happen if Jesus Christ showed up tomorrow? Would anyone believe it was Him?

It's a strange thing that Jesus Christ, with all His power and ability, wasn't able to convince everyone on the planet that He was the Son of God. And if that was His plan, the first time He was here, if that was the reason for Him coming to the earth, he wasn’t very successful at His job.

He barely got a few of the people who were literally waiting for Him to believe. I mean there were people waiting for their Messiah and He actually shows up and they rejected Him. That seems crazy to me.

But the fact is, he didn't spend His time trying to convince anyone. He spoke in parables. When He healed someone He told them not to tell other people. He also stayed pretty much in the same small corner of the world. He was never running around trying to force everyone into obedience or conversion if they didn't have any interest in what He was saying or what He was doing. He didn't force anyone to stick around.

Only those that went to Jesus Christ and asked for healing were actually healed. Only those who chose to follow Him, followed Him. He didn't make anyone do anything. That says something about the nature of God and that should tell us something about why He was here and that He's actually got a game plan.  With His life of overcoming, when He was here on the earth, Jesus Christ qualified himself as Savior and as the King of Kings. He first sacrificed Himself to open the doors of the family of God.

But that wasn't the end of the story. Soon He will come back and set up His Kingdom on the earth. And the next time we see Him, no one is going to wonder if it's really Him. No one, I mean nobody, is gonna wonder what the plan is. The whole world will finally know that He is the Lord.

He will demonstrate His power and bring peace to the entire earth, dwelling in the midst of the people, teaching the way to everlasting life. There won't be thousands of different religions with all their own versions of right and wrong, everyone with their own take on who God is or what God is or whether God exists at all.

Mankind will be able to compare and contrast His way of life with the mess that we have known for thousands of years and, once again, no one forced to do anything but a choice, simply presented, an offer to join Him and His family forever.

That is gonna be awesome. But if we seek God today, we can find Him. If we open the book He left for us, we can prove His word to be true. Maybe we should just give Him a shot.

I don't know, just a thought.
