So is Christmas pagan or not? People have been worshipping false gods with all kinds of pagan customs for thousands of years, especially involving trees and sun worship around the winter solstice. I didn’t make up this stuff, this is just the way it is.

But then in 2025, professing Christians make videos saying all that doesn’t matter…What if the Catholic Church or Protestant churches confirmed that Christmas has adopted pagan customs? They actually have!

The Catholic Encyclopedia explicitly states that many Christmas customs come from pagan practices. They also acknowledge that the choice of December 25th is strongly related to the pagan solar feast of Natalis Invicti, which frame this as a case of Christian “baptism” or competition rather than pagan origin of Christian worship.

In the Bible God tells us exactly what He wants. He told us how to worship Him. He told us how to honor Him. He also told us what not to do. Things to stay away from. We don’t have to speculate at all. We can tell ourselves, “We put Christ in Christmas. This is something that is nice and fun and gets our family together.”

But we have to decide individually  if we’re going to choose our own path or if we will walk in the footsteps of God and Jesus Christ. And sometimes we might have to go against the grain, in order to follow God.Can we look in the Bible, this Word of God, and follow Him?

Do we know all the things He’s asked us to do? Rather than deciding for ourselves, do we who say we believe in God and believe He wrote the Bible, choose to do what He asks of us?
