So people ask all the time, “if you’re not celebrating Halloween, what do you do with your kids? Keeping them from all the fun of that holiday, how do we as a family not feel like we’re missing out on something?”

Well, we do this… The whole gang gets in there. We hit up an  escape room, we go bowling. We do dinner and a movie. Sure, it is definitely absolutely not necessary. Our kids would survive just fine without it, but when we’re able to do it, why not show that we can still have fun and do it God‘s way?

Satan wants us to feel like–and this drives me crazy–Satan wants us to feel like the only possible fun is having to put up with a mixture of good and evil, and it’s just not true! As always God‘s way of life provides the most incredible blessings. We don’t have to compromise. We don’t have to wrestle with feeling bad ,doing things that on some level deep down, we know are a problem. We can simply obey God and raise our kids to do the same. We can do it. I don’t know. It’s just something to think about. All right. I gotta go bust out of the escape room.  Have a great day.
