So I’m at the grocery store again…This time we’re trying to prep for this big storm coming, snow and ice, not sure which but in Tennessee those are both a problem for us. The kids are praying for snow of course.
We’ve been watching the forecast all week. They started with like 20+ inches of snow, now it might be ice only. The weather people do their best to figure it out, but they’re trying to predict the future. That’s kind of a tough thing to do.
But everyone prepares. Trying to get supplies, water, food, something to stay warm if the power goes out for a while. We believe what they say! Grocery store lines are ridiculous. It doesn’t take long to empty the shelves. We’re told about a storm that’s coming, and we get ready. We immediately drop everything and prepare.
It’s interesting, the Bible also tells us a storm is coming. But it’s not weather forecasters telling us, it’s literally God. He tells us that Jesus Christ is going to return, but before that event, a storm. And billions of people believe that Christ is coming back to rule the earth, but have we prepared?
The Book of Revelation outlines a series of events that leads to a great battle gathering the armies of the world at a place called Armageddon, also known as Mount Megiddo. It’s a literal place. They come to take up arms against Jesus Christ at His return. And in that moment of Revelation 16, Jesus Christ says, “Behold, I am coming as a thief…”
